About the company Holzkunst Kaden

The beginnings of the Richter/Kaden company date back to the 19th century. century back. During the mining decline in Seiffen, Samuel Gottlieb Richter began producing Erzgebirge folk art, especially miniature cars and teams. He handed over production to his son Gustav Heinrich Richter. In addition to producing wooden goods, he also traded food in his own shop. In 1936 his son Max Richter took over. After his early death in 1955, his wife Fanny Richter, together with her daughter Christa and husband Christoph Kaden, ran the small craft business for many years and expanded the range of products by producing miniature trains. On July 1, 1977, Matthias Kaden took over the family business with his wife Evelin after completing his master's examination. Since then they have expanded and enriched the range to over 200 items, for example the Seiffen Church with carolers, candle holders, candle arches, music boxes, pyramids and various tree decorations. Since January 1st, 2009 you have been leading 3. Son Stephan Kaden and his wife Christina run the company and are now trying to stick to the tried and tested and implement new ideas in order to maintain the traditional business in difficult economic times.
