The truck was in very rough condition when I acquired it ( See picture). Rust had eaten the metal away in places plus it was completely covered in rust pitting. Over a period of time I was able to repair all the damage.

In lieu of the normal farm stake bed I designed and built a flat bed with a wooden floor. With the exception of the flat bed, all parts are original Tonka. Multiple coats of candy apple red paint was applied and finished with two coats of gloss clear coat.
