When the immortal roses bloom in the light of the rising moon, the vampires awaken. The ephemeral beauty of the full flowers exerts an irresistible attraction on the romantic creatures of the night. The vampires have until sunrise to hunt humans, find mates and improve their abilities. Maybe they'll even manage to rush to the labyrinth and pick one of the coveted roses.

The Hunger is a racing and deck building game. Players improve their decks with cards that give them lasting benefits and pick up cards with people to complete their hunting goals and gain victory points. But the more people the players have in the deck, the less control they have and the slower they progress. The players have exactly 15 rounds for their nightly hunting trip. Only if they have made it back to the castle or cemetery by then can they enjoy the points they have collected, otherwise their vampires will burn to ashes in the light of the rising sun!
