This is an incredibly cool piece and something for every maritime collector. This inkwell is believed to be added from wood taken from the restoration of the H.M.S. Victory, this was purchased with other items that included coa's from the restoration company however no certificate was provided for this piece. Sturdy wood with beautiful brass escutcheons and brass plaque stating Nelsons Ship H.M.S. Victory. The inkwell itself is invaded in the wooden block and is made by F. Soennecken. The glass lid to the inkwell does have some chips to it as pictured. Original glass bottom jar also included as well as matching brass lid. Very cool one of a kind piece! You will never find another one like this.
