Antico dipinto inglese datato 1762. Opera olio su tela siglata in basso a sinistra J. B. J. (John Baptist Jackson 1701 - 1780, mancante di autentica) raffigurante soggetto religioso Battesimo di Lidia da parte di San Paolo nella città di Tiatira. Quadro di ottima mano pittorica, ricco di elementi decorativi sul fronte e nello sfondo. Dipinto che presenta in basso a destra una scritta del pittore (Cap. XVI, Ver. 14,15,16,17 vedi foto) che fa riferimento alla scena biblica da lui rappresentata. Cornice lignea non coeva, del XX secolo, piacevolmente scolpita e dorata. Quadro caratterizzato da una favolosa prospettiva, finemente arricchito da rovine classiche, per antiquari, arredatori e collezionisti di arte sacra. Dipinto che ha subito un intervento di restauro conservativo, rintelo e sostituzione del telaio nel corso del XX secolo. In buone condizioni. Luce dipinto H 66 x L 92 cm. H 80 x L 106 x P 6 cm

Framework characterized by a fabulous perspective, finely enriched by classical ruins, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of sacred art.
