DESCRIPTION

Six volumes from this series on British history and topography from various locations around the UK.

Mostly first editions, and all in the original publisher's cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. 

Includes the following works, all densely illustrated throughout the text in black and white: 

The Book of Taunton: The Story of a County Town (1977) by Robin Bush. A limited edition, signed by the author and contributors. This is issue number 195. 

The Book of Meavy: Dartmoor Parish, Village and River (1999) by Pauline Hemery. This is the first edition, and this includes two signed letters from the publisher. 

The Book of Creech St Michael: The Parish and Its People (2000) is the first edition, by June Small. 

The Book of Nynehead: A Village on the River Tone (2003) is the first edition. By the Nynehead and District History Society. 

The Book of Horniton: Of Lace and Pottery Fame (2005) is the first edition, by Gerald Gosling.

The Book of Sidmouth: Celebrating an Ancient Coastal Town (2006) is the first reprint, first published in 2004. By Ted Gosling and Sheila Luxton.



CONDITION

In the original publisher's cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart. There is some light bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. To the dust wrappers, there is some light wear to the extremities including some creasing. The dust wrapper of 'Taunton' is slightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
