DESCRIPTION

The first eight volumes from Familiar Wild Flowers by Frederick Edward Hulme in the original publisher's decorative cloth bindings. 

Hulme was a teacher and botanist from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. He is best known for this work. 

Densely illustrated throughout with many beautiful colour plates by Hulme of flowers. All volumes are collated and complete with thirty nine plates and a frontispiece to each volume.

The first and second series are undated, the third, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth are dated 1906, and the fourth series is dated 1902. 


CONDITION

In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, smart. There is some bumping and wear to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There are some light marks to the boards. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot.
