I am offering for sale a superb two piece salad set, first issued by Reed & Barton in 1901 in the Les Six Fleurs pattern.  I believe these have been in my family since the purchase date, and in my home since 1989 when my Grandma died.  There’s a faint monogram on the backsides, which appears to have been added over 100 years ago.  The gold wash is so strong that I can’t help but wonder whether Granny had them re-gilded in the 1950’s or so.  I have tried to photograph them in a way that will answer most if not all your questions and hopefully to show how the set might appear in your house.

Each piece is approximately 10 1/2 inches in length.  Moreover, they are quite heavy, as the spoon weighs 209 grams (about 7.32 oz.) and the fork weighs 197 grams (about 6.94 oz.).  I am not an antique dealer or other type of business man, but a retiree looking to clean out the house of a ton of stuff that I inherited that I don’t use so much any more.  With that said, I have tried to place a reasonable price on these items.  If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask.  Many thanks and best regards.
