How are the handmade natural soaps made?

All my handmade soaps are created using the traditional cold- press method which results in a luxurious rich cleansing soap. The are made in small batches and the process takes 6 weeks to complete ensuring the finished product will leave your skin cleansed, moisturised and soft.

All soaps are suitable for the face and body. Selected oils are combined with the chosen essential oils. Some soaps are unfragranced which are all suitable for sensitive skin including from birth. They all SLS, palm oil paraben  and synthetic chemical free and not tested on animals. Apart from the Goat milk soap all soaps are vegan friendly. The packaging and soap are both biodegradable and compostable.

All my soaps have a cosmetic safety report assessment which means they are safe and legal to sell in the UK.

Why are natural soaps better than commercial soaps?

Glycerin is a natural by-product of soap making. It is highly moisturising substance that is retained in natural soaps. It acts as a humectant which keeps skin moisturised by attracting water from the air. Commercially produced soaps remove glycerin to sell to the  cosmetic industry to add to moisturisers. This is why commercial soaps can feel drying on your skin. The chemicals such as synthetic detergents, hardeners, preservatives, synthetic fragrances, SLS, SLES can dehydrate, irritate and cause itchiness to the skin. No synthetic chemicals are added to my natural soaps, I only add oils that have a known benefit to the skin.

How do I use and keep my soap?

Store your unused soap in a dry moisture free atmosphere. When ready to use cut off half the bar and use by wetting hand and then work the soap into a rich creamy lather. Between uses place the soap on a soap dish or on or in a sisal soap bag so it can dry out. This will help make your soap last longer.

What packaging is used?

The bars are wrapped in eco flecked recycled paper and the optional gift box is also eco friendly
