Digitalized family records for London, UK in 1891

This is a set of 38 interactive DVDs that contain birth records and residency informationon thousands of Londoners who were was officially recorded during the major British Census in 1891.

Each of the DVDs contains names and address, occupations and more for each man, woman and child who lived in the various districts of London like Paddington, Islington and Chelsea.

The data was handwritten on official government forms at the time, and formally recorded the names, ages and so on by street address. So you can search out the head of the family, wife, sons, daughters, servants and even some lodgers.

The DVDs appear to work on standard Windows desktop computers here in North America, though we cannot confirm they will work on Apple products. They require Adobe Acrobat version 4 or later. We have included several examples of the contents of the discs so you have an idea of the type of information available.

These could be of use to someone searching for long lost British relatives from 132 years ago,  or just a fun project to unearth a family unit from the murky past.

All CDCs from 1 to 38 are present.

We ship in a well padded cardboard carton.
