For sale we have an excellent example of a classic dress watch from a quality Swiss brand. This mid 1990s Longines Presence has a slim 9ct yellow gold case. It is the reference 3979 150. It comes with its original box and has the original Longines strap. This classic range is still available to this day.
 
The case is classic and neat, measuring 33mm wide by 33mm in length. It measures 37mm lug-to-lug, with a slim case depth of 4.5mm. The case has a polished finish. The case back is also 9ct gold and is a snap on fit. It has a brushed finish, with the serial number “24.676.902”.
Inside it is signed Longines, Swiss Made. It has the reference number 3979 150. It also has Swiss hallmarking for 9ct gold.
The dial is a pristine matte white base tone which has a slight shine. The hour markers are neatly applied in a gold tone and are of baton style. The dial is signed Longines below 12 O’clock, with the winged hourglass logo and is signed Quartz. It is also signed with the model name Presence above 6 O’clock. As a classic dress watch, it has two hands which are of stick style and are a gold tone. They have a polished finish and shine nicely in the light.
 
The Sapphire crystal is original and is in excellent condition with no marks. The crown is original and has a neat coin edge finish. It is in very good condition.
 
The strap is the original Longines leather strap, which is signed Longines. It has an 18mm lug width and is in good condition. The gold plated buckle is signed Longines and is original.
 
The movement has been recently replaced with the base non Longines branded ETA 256.041. It is a 6-jewel quartz movement. The movement is brand new, with a new battery, making it very reliable.

Dial:
The dial is in perfect original condition. It is a matte white base tone which has a slight shine. The hour markers are neatly applied in a gold tone and are of baton style. The dial is signed Longines below 12 O’clock, with the winged hourglass logo and is signed Quartz. It is also signed with the model name Presence above 6 O’clock. Below 6 O’clock it is signed 150 Swiss 3979.
 
Hands:
The hands are original and are of stick style and are a gold tone. They have a polished finish and shine nicely in the light.
 
Glass:
The Sapphire crystal is original and is in excellent condition with no marks.
 
Crown:
The crown is original and has a neat coin edge finish. It is in very good condition.
 
Case:
The circular case is formed of 9ct gold and is in good condition. It has light surface scratching consistent with age. The case has a polished finish.
 
Caseback:
The case back is formed of 9ct gold. It is in very good original condition. It has a brushed finish. It has the serial number “24.676.902”. It is snap on, fitting into place with pressure.
 
Inside it is signed Longines, Swiss Made. It has the reference number 3979 150. It has Swiss hallmarking for 9ct gold.
 
Strap:
The strap is the original Longines leather strap, which is signed Longines. It has an 18mm lug width and is in good condition. The gold plated buckle is signed Longines and is original.

The Longines L150.2, has been recently replaced after faults, with the original base calibre, an ETA 256.041. It is a 6-jewel quartz movement. It is a new movement, with a new battery.
