Welcome :)

Salisbury Crown China Company was a bone china manufacturer that operated at the Salisbury Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent, England. The company was founded by Leslie H Bradley in about 1927 and operated as the Salisbury Crown China Co Until 1949, when the name was changed to Salisbury China Co.
The company produced eggshell bone china, which is a very fine and almost transparent bone china. The company was known for producing high quality fine bone china with elegant designs and intricate patterns.

These particular Bone china cups and saucers were made between 1937-1941. As we know the art Deco age was the 1920's - 1930's and continued to be fashionable until the 1950's. If you look at the marking at the back of the cups, the crown and the wording, that is the indication that gives me the 1937-41.

These cups and saucers are quite unusual for Salisbury, I can't recall having seen the same colourful cups. Usually when I come across the Salisbury cups and saucers I see floral patterns, inside and outside.

The cups and saucers are in good condition. There is no damage, breaks, repairs. The gold gilding looks lovely around the bottom, around the top of the cup and around the saucers. The colours are all vibrant. One the saucers has a couple of age related marks, one at the back and one at the front. All other saucers are in good condition.

The cups are 6cm in height and 7cm across the opening. The saucers are 12.5cm across.
