These spindles are double tapered with a gold tones band in the center.

Each spindle measures 13 1/4 inches high x 1 3/8 inches in diameter at the ends tapering to 5/8 inches in the center.

As you can see from the pictures, there is a difference in stain/color on each spindle.  One side has a more reddish finish and the other side more yellowish.
