"SOUNDS OF THE STEAM AGE" series

Stereo

"Steam locomotives at work, by day and night, at various locations on British Railways between 1959 and 1961, and in 1982 in Zimbabwe"

"All these recordings were made on location with analogue stereo tape recorders. The 1959-1961 recordings were made with equipment which, although it was the best available at the time, would be considered somewhat primitive by present day standards and did not have the benefits of noise reduction systems or low noise recording tapes."

The 12-page booklet contains explanations about each recording
