Bohemian art glass soap bubble vase is blown of iridescent colourless glass. The vase is one piece of glass with connecting spheres with a blank prunt on the end of each side. Each vase has a polished cut rim and pontil mark on the base so the vase will sit flat.

This iridescent decor from Harrach is called Glatt Iris. The invention of hot-shaped iridescent glass from Harrach is attributed to Chemist, Leo V. Pantocsek, the Technologist at J. G. Zahn Glassworks in Zlatno, Slovakia. The Glassworks of J. G. Zahn presented iridescent glass at the 1873 Worlds Fair in Vienna. Harrach shared a great deal of interest in mastering the technique of Hot Shaping iridescent. Production began around 1875-76 and continued into the early 1900's. Glatt Iris is one of the very first iridescent decors Harrach ever produced. Circa. 1890's - 1900.
