Vintage 1983 Marble Hill Nuclear Power Plant Jefferson County, Indiana Belt Buckle. Very nice shape. Measures about 3" x 2.5". Fits about a 1.75" belt. Metal appears to be brass or bronze.
Marble Hill Nuke site (which started building in 1978) was eventually shut down in Jan 1984 during half-finished construction due to cost overruns (due to alleged construction quality issues) and Anti-nuke hysteria (following the 1979 TMI accident).
Planned two-unit PWR with rated at 1175 MWe each in Southern Indiana.
Another sad anti-nuke hysteria story! However, Public Service Indiana did not handle construction practices very well either!
Go Nukes!
