Is this the right Battery backup unit for you
- If your Hub has 3 Yellow Ethernet connections in a line on the rear, and one Red connection, then YES this is the correct unit for you.
- If your Hub has 4 Yellow Ethernet connections in a line on the rear, then NO this is not the correct unit for you and you should select the Non FTTP version

- Question 1: Will my Internet access be maintained along with my voice service?
Answer : Yes
Question 2: Will the unit support other BT Hubs?
Answer 2: The unit will only support the smart Hub 2, you can easily identify if you have a Smart Hub 2, as the Hub type is shown on the label underneath the pull out tile, on the rear of the hub that shows the Wi-Fi password. Please note this unit will not support other hubs supplied by BT or routers supplied by alternative vendors.
Question 3: Will a phone connected to the Phone port on the back of the Smart Hub 2 continue to work?
Answer 3: The Phone will work as long as it does not rely on mains power itself.
Question 4: Will a Phone connected to a DECT Adaptor continue to work?
Answer 4: No
Notes
- Please note this unit will not support other hubs types supplied by BT or routers supplied by alternative vendors.
- Digital voice handsets supplied with the service, or a non-powered phones connected to the phone port on the Hub will continue to work. You can easily identify if you have a Smart Hub 2, as the Hub type is shown on the label underneath the pull out tile, on the rear of the hub that shows the Wi-Fi password.
- You can easily identify if your Broadband service is provided over Fibre to the premise, as an Optical fibre is provided all the way into the home, and it will be terminated on a mains powered unit. If this is not the case then customers should purchase the non FTTP version.
- The Battery Back-up unit contains a battery and customers should be aware that this will need replacing periodically.
