This MCM New Zealand Sovereign Company Pedestal Bowl is made from 6 different Native timbers which are listed on the original label on the underside of the pedestal stand.


The Striped pattern ranges from predominantly a blonde wood through to some darker wood.



There is a central silver fixture that is in good condition without any rusting ,that attaches to the bolt on the underside of the pedestal which also doesn’t have any rusting.


The Gold Makers sticker and the label underneath are fully intact without damage.


The Sovereign Company was founded in Whanganui New Zealand 71 years ago by renowned woodworker Austin Brasell and then became Sovereign Woodworkers in 1949.


This exceptional piece of handcrafted wood is an amazing example of its kind and would be a wonderful addition to any interior.


It would suit a Cottage Core,Nap Cottage,MCM,Grandma Chic’ or basically any interior .


This would give warmth to a stone or marble kitchen and would make a lovely display for fruit/veg or any food you wish to serve.



There is some wear and tear with some minor marks befitting its age, however there are no major chips, cracks,rust or deterioration to this work of art.
