V Shape Mono Weed Guard allows you to cast into wood, weeds and rocks without the fear of hang ups. Cast into areas you and other anglers would normally pass up without a weed guard. Fish deep into cover instead of just  the edges . Spend more time fishing and less time retrieving your snagged fly or losing it completely.

I am a firm believer in tying and fishing my flies with a weedguard.

If you don't want the weed guard, just cut it off.

Streamer materials are Extra Select Marabou feathers and Magnum Bunny Strips.

The action on these streamers is impressive. You have undulating movement on the fall, during the retrieve, in current and even when it's resting on  the bottom the Marabou feathers and fur is still moving.

I tie each and every streamer to insure quality. Every tie in point is glued epoxied for durability. I only use premium quality materials. Extra select Marabou, premium magnum Bunny strips, stainless steel fish shanks and connected to the hook with nylon coated seven strand wire.

With the hook riding up and with the weed guard you are able to fish it through rocks and gravel without snagging and prevents the hook point from damage.

I have been fishing, guiding and tying flies for decades. These are the flies I use. They are tied and built to catch fish and hold up extreme abuse.

I use 6wt rods and above with weight forward heavy taper bass bug/clouser line. If I want get really deep in current or deep weed edges, I will run a sink tip or full sinking line.

I also use these flies with spinning tackle when it's just too windy to fly fish.

The helmet heads I use are from the "Flymen"  tackle company. I use these heads because they are the best. These heads allows the flies to act more like a swimbait than a jig. It makes a difference for me.

I tie these Bottom Dweller streamers from 4" on up to 7"  depending on the species I am targeting. The smaller 4" Bottle Dwellers are for trout, walleyes, smallmouth and largemouth bass. The larger flies are for big bass, pike, peacock bass,muskies and saltwater species like stripers and snook.

The colors and patterns range from natural to brighter attractor streamers.

My flies may cost a little more but top quality components and time to create are worth it. When the most important piece of equipment is also the least expensive, the fly, buy quality. You will never be disappointed spending a couple dollars more on quality.
