This mini pen can be detached from the cord. The silky black cord is included. The pen is approximately 3-1/2" long. This is a very handy item to have for those times when you need a pen handy but don't want to carry it around in your hand! This pen has a very fine print black ink cartridge installed. Replacement cartridges can be found at office supply stores.
The wood on this pen was hand turned on a wood lathe about 15 years ago making this a one-of-a-kind piece. My late father-in-law and I had a small company, American Penworks. We hand turned wood pens, desk accessories and other items on wood lathes. We participated in craft shows where we set up shop and demonstrated our craft while filling special orders and replacing inventory. The memories from those days are priceless. Each wood piece is protected with a coating of woodturner's finish, beeswax and linseed oil.
