Steen was a forward who played professionally in Sweden most notably for Modo Hockey prior to his move to the NHL. He was a 1st round pick in the 2002 NHL Draft selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with whom he played for several years before joining the St. Louis Blues with whom he spent the majority of his pro career. He has also played internationally for Team Sweden. He was a Stanley Cup champion, and is currently a European player development consultant for the Blues.
