Extremely fine antique Chinese red lacquer tea caddy. This gorgeous tea caddy has inticate decoration with gilding which is typical, however this example has the fine quality vignettes with polychrome lacquer decoration and dragon carved  wooden feet. This example also has the original pewter tea caddy inside with beautiful intricate Engraving. It is 19th century per research. See photo of listing on Charish.

Condition: Some age splitting and  losses to the lacquer surface. One noticeable chip above the keyhole and one of the Dragon the Dragon feet has two chips missing . See photos. Otherwise for age and obvious usage, it is in good shape.
