Description

Offered here is a vintage solid 14k gold diamond "illusion-set" engagement ring.  This is one of my favorite styles of this type of ring, with one larger diamond in the center and four smaller diamonds on a slightly lower tier, surrounding it, making them all blend in to look one ONE BIG HONKIN' DIAMOND RING!  It is actually a patented design--ring is stamped PAT inside the band.

There is no question about the diamond weight of .50ctw (it's stamped inside the band), but the head on this ring measures 7.5mm in diameter, which is the size of a 1.50 ct diamond solitaire, as it appears to the eye from a distance.

 The center diamond is approximately .33 ct, and the other four diamonds are about .04 - .05 ct each.  These diamonds are very white and clean with a ton of fire.

  I've shown it with a vintage band in the photos to give an idea of what it looks like with another ring in the photos (Wedding band is  not included)

The head measures 5/16" top to bottom and sits up 1/4" off the hand.  The ring is hallmarked 14k, PAT. and .50 for the diamond weight.  It weighs 2.8 grams and is a size 6.75.  It is in excellent vintage condition. The ring can be sized by a competent jeweler.
