The AU-VREC1G VariCam Recording Module from Panasonic can be shared among the two different camera module heads - the 4K Varicam 35 (AU-V35C1G) and the Varicam HS 2/3 (AU-V23HS1G). The two camera heads are interchangeable to suit a variety of applications, while the camera head docks to the recorder without any cable connection. And the rugged docking mechanism allows easy docking and undocking in the field, without having to use a screwdriver.
The Module comes with a removable control panel that is also suitable for both the AU-V35C1G and AU-V23HS1G Varicam video cameras. This detachable control panel with the monitor control panel on the recording module is a built-in 3.5-type LCD display panel. It can be used as the display for menu operation and also can be used as a live/preview monitor. The keys and dials are laid out around the display for quick and accurate operation so frequently used settings can be accessed directly.
The Module delivers an unparalleled range of recording formats including 4K / UHD and HD in AVC-ULTRA 4K and 2K and FHD. And the previously mentioned flexibility of the VariCam system is further improved by an extension cable between the camera head and the AU-VREC1G recorder allowing users to meet the requirements in the use of slewing jibs and cranes and other remote applications.
