  • Beschreibung: Bezeichnet: "De liefde en de doot". Auf diesem qualitätsvollen Blatt zeigt der Künstler zwei zeitversetzte Szenen. Im Hintergrund sitzt ein Paar im Garten, der Tod steht als Gerippe neben ihnen und verweist auf die nächste Szene. Hier liegt die junge Frau auf dem Krankenbett, der Geliebte hält ihre Hand. Cupido hat der Sterbenden soeben einen Pfeil in die Brust geschossen und verlässt den von einem Vorhang abgetrennten Raum um das Krankenlager.

  • Description: Inscribed: "De liefde en de doot". On this high-quality sheet, the artist shows two time-shifted scenes. In the background a couple is sitting in the garden, Death stands next to them as a skeleton and refers to the next scene. Here the young woman lies on her sickbed, her lover holds her hand. Cupid has just shot an arrow into the dying woman's chest and leaves the space around the sickbed, which is separated by a curtain.
