Tiffin Glass Candy Jar, Ribbon Black Satin

Description: This impressive ebony jet satin black glass candy jar was made by the Tiffin Glass Company about 1930. It is their No.15179. Footed Bon Bon and  Cover. The tall stem features a ball and discs. The body comes up in a swooping fashion. Then the lid extends the swoop upwards. Tiffin was well known for it's Black Satin Glass. This black satin jar is further enhanced with the Ribbon treatment which is alternating stripes of velvety black satin with ribbons of shiny, glossy black. The imposing shape is enhanced by Tiffin's black satin Ribbon treatment.

Size:  6.5 inches high x 6.75 inches diameter without lid. It is 6.5 inches in diameter. Opening is 4.75 inches diameter. 

Condition: Bowl has no chips or cracks. Bowl does have  a half inch smear area on the outside. The lid has a 1 inch flat chip on inside lip and pencil point flaws around the edge. There is also a straw mark on the outside.
