  • Beschreibung: Das Kunstwerk präsentiert eine Interaktion zwischen drei figuren in historischer Garderobe, eingebettet in ein Interieur mit klassischen Elementen. Ein Mann überreicht einer sitzenden Frau mit Hut ein Fläschchen, während eine zweite Frau ihnen zuschaut, begleitet von einem kleinen Hund. Die Szene ist von einer ovalen Umrandung eingefasst, die das zentrale Motiv hervorhebt. Die Szene zeigt den verliebten Lord Thomas (auch Sweet Willie), der vor der schönen Annet (auch Annie oder Elinor) kniet und ihr eine Rose überrreicht. Die Blattecken sind geringfügig bestoßen und geknickt. Die Blattkanten sind knapp entlang der Plattenkanten beschnitten. Verso Spuren einer alten Montierung.

  • Condition: Defective condition. Foxing and soiling visible on the entire sheet. Some creasing, particularly in the margin. Long marginal tear at bottom centre. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped and creased. The sheet edges have been trimmed just along the platemark. Traces of old mounting on verso.
