This was designed for wideangle lenses with enough depth of field for to be used without rangefinder coupling since
not is technically possible.
Also can be used in addition of a Contax / Nikon S rangefinder adapter to Leica M with electronic viewfinder. Any old Nikon F can be used with EFV, in example these nice 55/1.2 lenses.
On the picture you can see an example using a Nikon F 21mm.
