A vintage green Minton Cockatrice Sugar Bowl
The striking and beautiful 'Green Cockatrice' pattern by Minton dating from the 1890s features a vibrant green frieze with floral medallions around the edge. In the centre the cockatrice is painted in a rich pink with blue wings and a turquoise head surrounded by a motif of flowers and fruit in matching colours, all interwoven with saffron yellow scrolls. The rim is painted a tan brown.
