The MESH weave design is in a 92% wool WINE/BURGUNDY shade (with lighter coloured flecks which come from the 8% linen blend), and would be suitable for dress with more city type attire with flannel styles and maybe under knitwear (v-necks/cardigan styles) with country tweeds. Equally it could be used with a suit in a more winter heavy weight in charcoal and navy (avoid black) with a flannel or tattersall style shirt. It is quite a course yarn so it would sit with suiting fabrics that are brushed like a flannel/tweed.
This can really only be worn in the winter months as anything in this hand feel isn't usually worn in summer.
It is made in Italy to a very HIGH standard/TOP END.
Tweed ties are delicate and can pull on sharp edges, rough skin and jagged nails (so be careful).
Would be a great gift or yourself or a loved one.
Ideally you should wear with a classic suit or jacket with a normal width collar/lapel. As it is slim (not skinny) you might just get away with wearing it with a skinny lapel jacket.
This tie would sit perfectly with a white flannel shirt in white. anything else wont look as good. plain shirts with this is as standard, but as we said before it could be teamed with a tattersall check.
It's no more than a few years old but as you can see it is brand new. It basically looks like a Ralph Lauren/Drakes tie without the price tag
Lovely twill design that is very versatile and can be worn formally with a suit or casually with a tweed or blazer jacket. It hasn't been worn!
