From the start, the computer industry has been busily inventing or appropriating the words needed to identity the ideas and "things" of the business. Many of these words,
customers of a given vendor or users of particular products. But for DEC customers. help is now at hand.
The DEC Dictionary provides definitions for the terminology and acronyms specific to Digital Equipment Corporation's products in general or specific to one of the more than 45 individual products surveyed.
The DEC Dictionary comprises two sections: 1.) a Technical Terminology section: and 2.) an Appendix that lists common DEC acronyms, abbreviations, and mnemonics. The Technical Terminology section contains definitions of the technical terms and distinguishes between meanings that apply to specific Digital products and those that apply to Digital's products in general. The Appendix expands the abbreviations, acronyms, and mnemonics commonly used in Digital's publications.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. We sell books and other items donated by our community members to raise money for our local library system. We fund services, reading programs and purchases not in their budget. Our organization has operated continuously in the same city since 1937.
