This old blue and white saltglaze tooth holder has flaws, but still looks better than the pictures.  On the one side, there is a shallow flake which must have occured during the manufacture because it is under the glaze.  On the other side, you can see wear along a couple of the flower stems, as well as some manufacturing flaws.  There is an extra lump of glaze-over clay on the bottom of the interior.  The blue coloring of these saltglaze pieces can range from light blue to colbalt.  This one is a medium blue, a slightly deeper color than how the pictures turned out.  I am sorry that it looks kind of washed out and a little gray in my pictures.  On my screen, the most accurate representation of the color is in the last two pictures, where you can see the sides from above.  This piece is just under 5" tall.
