 Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers a near PRISTINE, 1920's Slingerland model 26 Banjo Ukulele. Doing some research this model has the same quality appointments as the MayBell banjoukes. Grover Pat Applied for, tailpiece. Original friction tuners, possibly Grover.  8" diameter head. Heavy nickel plated, grooved top main hoop ring. Tension hook shoes, not hex shaped lugs. Rosewood fingerboard. 1/4" round pearl lookalike fret markers.  Ebony peghead overlay. Polished brass fret wires. Very slight wear on the fret wires. 16 tension hooks, all hardware original, and matching. I dismantled this one, and polished everything, nothing refinished. Hardware polished in a rock tumbler, using crushed walnut shells, as the medium. I had to replace the head with a goatskin thin skin from Elderly. Very nice natural hide color pattern. The original calfskin Slingerland Bros. is included. The original has a 1/2" long small tear, see the pictures. My goal is to make these instruments PLAYERS, not wall hangers. New Bella Banjo Ukulele strings installed. The finish on the wooden parts is exceptional, hand polished. There are a few wear marks around the bottom edge of the pot. This is the original end loader canvas case,  I had to replace a couple of the leather pieces. The "golaches style"  latch on the bottom flap works fine. You will have search a long time to find one of these in this condition, with the original case included.  Read my feedback, buy with confidence!
