Rare Yashica 1C Lynx 14e rangefinder film camera with original leather case and strap

I have tested it with film, see photo’s attached (Kentmere 400).

This is the fastest fixed lens rangefinder ever built with an beautiful f1.4 lens.

The lens is amazing, great in low light, it is clear and free from haze and fungus. It is made up of 7 elements in 5 groups. It is 45mm focal length with a 58mm filter thread.

The shutter is a Coupal SVE with speeds from 1s to 1/500s and bulb mode

The aperture range is f1.4 to f16

The body is in great condition and is made fully of metal construction so it does weigh a bit (850g), it is quite large, but had to be to house the lens! However i have carried it around on a strap, or in a bag all day and it’s been fine.

The camera is fully manual and does not require a battery to function.

The only electronic element is the Light meter which isn’t working. I use an external light meter, phone app or sunny 16 rule.

The rangefinder is clear, parallax corrected and there are frame lines in the rangefinder window.

I have another one of these, it needed some repair which i knew would take a long time, so i bought this one as a temporary replacement!

Just load up with film and off you go!
