This original bleacher seat is from Ebbets Field, Brooklyn built in 1913. Many were purchased by Gaelic Park, Bronx, when Ebbets Field was demolished, 1960. In Gaelic Park, where rugby was played, the seats were repainted light blue covering the dark blue. See the picture. In the 1990's when I purchased a few, their condition was rusty and dysfunctional.  I have restored and sold all the complete bleacher seats and now I have TWO orphaned seats remaining. Imagine all the history this seat has witnessed, especially when in 1947 Branch Rickey placed Jackie Robinson on The Dodger's roster! Someone sat in this seat when the Dodgers won the World Series in 1955 beating the New York Yankees!
