Leica IIIc + MOOLY-C Chrome no.3508 Preseries

War-time Leica IIIc in fine and working condition with red shutter blind, Summitar 2/5cm no.521810 in near mint condition with cap. Spring wound motor drive MOOLY-C in chrome no.3508, with longer chassis and internal coupling for Leica models IIIc and IIId. The regular MOOLY-C series starts with serial no.5001, whereas this chrome model is from a small pre-series of 50 units (serial no. 3495 to 3546) which were made in 1940 and are marked in the Leitz Wetzlar shipping records 'MOOLY für Gusskamera' (Guss meaning the die-cast body of the Leica IIIc and IIId). A chrome MOOLY-C ? besides the grey version ? is one of the rarest Leica accessories from the World War II era, a specimen from the pre-series is almost impossible to find. Exactly this Motor is described and illustrated by Camille Heimfert in '10 Jahre Leica Historica', Leica Historica e.V., 1985, p. 79.
