This charming collection of five short stories by Oscar Wilde was first published in 1888.

This edition is beautifully illustrated with a frontispiece and eleven further colour plates by illustrator Charles Robinson, alongside numerous charming monochrome vignettes. Collated, complete.

Robinson was a prolific and celebrated illustrator of children's works.

In a sumptuous full crushed morocco binding, with extensive gilt detailing.

Consisting of 'The Happy Prince', 'The Selfish Giant', 'The Devoted Friend', 'The Nightingale and the Rose' and 'The Remarkable Rocket'.


CONDITION

In a full crushed morocco binding, with extensive gilt detailing. Externally, exceptionally lovely. Minor rubbing to spine tail and head of front joint, with small area of rubbing to the tail of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
