A GREAT Gift Idea for the Locomotive & Railway Enthusiast (as well as Stamp Collector) and Ideal For Framing.  A 22.5 x 32.7 cms Complete Sheet of 50 Stamps of the 1929 GWR 57xx Class (0-6-0T) comprising 25 se-tenant pairs of two genuine 1984 MINT/UNUSED 50c stamps from Nanumea (Tuvalu) in the Pacific (Issued 30th April 1984).  The first stamp illustrates the technical / plan drawings and the second stamp shows the locomotive at work.  The scans below show (i) a close up of the stamps and (ii) the complete sheet for sale.  The stamps are 33 years old but are in pristine unmounted mint condition.  The sheet would make an ideal present for the GWR / Class 57xx / Severn Valley Railway / Collett Steam Locomotive Enthusiast and is ideal for framing.

In 1929, Charles Collett addressed the problem of producing a versatile shunting engine, and so produced 853 excellent standard shunters over the next 21 years.  They had the standard GWR inside-cylinder arrangement and distinctive pannier tanks.  They turned out to be the most numerous class of steam locomotive in Britain and were versatile enough to work local passenger and goods trains as well as shunt.  Eighteen were preserved including No. 5764 at the Severn Valley Railway.

A Pretty Unique Item of GWR / 5700 Class / Collett Steam Locomotive Memorabilia!
