First edition. Contemporary half leather over decorative paper. 139 pp. Illustrated with 47 of 48 plates called for, each plate with accompanying description (and plates 33-48 at the rear).
Binding is heavily worn, with joints splitting, leather scuffed and brittle, and some damage to the board edges. Foxed throughout, with offsetting from the plates, toning to pages, and marginal dampstains as well as occasional stains or discoloration to the plates. Gutter exposed in places. Plate 21 and its description are missing. There is a closed tear to the description for plate 34.
