'The Blue Fairy Book' is the first book in Lang's influential 'Fairy Book' series.

This blue volume contains fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm, Madame d'Aulnoy, Arabian Nights, and Norwegian folktales.

Arguably, this blue volume contains the best known fairy tales, such as 'Little Red Riding Hood', 'The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood', 'Cinderella', 'Aladdin', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Hansel and Gretel', and more.

Andrew Lang is best known for these collections of fairy tales, and was an avid collector of folk and fairy tales. He was a Scottish poet, novelist, and literary critic.

With an introduction by Joan Aiken.

Illustrated by the Canadian artist Charles van Sandwyke.


CONDITION

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original slipcase. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Slipcase is in a near fine condition with some marks.
