This started life as a Squier by Fender Short-Scale Bronco Bass that's been  modified and upgraded with aesthetic modifications to somewhat resemble a vintage Mustang Bass. Solid Poplar Body with original Black finish. ALL the Electronics have been upgraded from the originals. Squier Bronco Basses actually come stock with a 6 pole-piece "6-string Guitar" Pickup, just like the original vintage Fender Musicmaster Basses did. It's been replaced with a new 4 pole-piece Alnico-5 Magnet Fiber Bobbin Single-Coil Bass Pickup with waxed cloth wiring, that sounds fantastic in this Bass! *See picture of the exact type of Pickup prior to installation. I've used this very same Pickup in "numerous" Bass Guitars I've upgraded & modified. It has strong output, presence & bite. Or with the Tone Control rolled back has a thick warm thump. Has a White Mustang style closed-top Pickup Cover installed. Pickup was set at an angle instead of straight like the original to add a little more thump to the lower strings and to have a similar look of Mustang 6-String Guitars. Original factory 250K Mini-Pots were replaced with full-size 500K Pots. Has a custom-made Mustang Bass shaped Tortoise-Shell Pickguard with beveled edges, that goes well with the Black finish and a Thumb-Rest added. Also has a handmade Control Plate made from plastic Mirror pickguard material, that looks like the chrome metal plate on Mustang Basses. Original chrome Tele knobs were replaced with Black Mustang Bass style Knobs.

Neck was upgraded with a much higher quality Canadian Rock Maple Neck with a natural high-gloss finish. Very comfortable slim-taper, short-scale Neck with a 19 medium/jumbo Fret Maple Fretboard. 30-inch scale, 1.5-inch nut width. Fret ends have been rounded and Frets polished so they're slick & bright. Headstock has a vintage style water-slide decal and new set of vintage style Open-Gear Tuners with slotted-shafts. Very smooth Neck that plays fantastic! *Message me if you'd like to see a complete picture of the front of the Headstock.

Has 45-1.05 Strings and a complete set-up done, including: truss-rod relief, action, intonation & pickup height. Original Squier logo neck-plate replaced with a new Chrome Blank Plate. Absolutely wonderful playing & sounding Short-Scale Bass with Retro Mustang Bass looks and is an affordable alternative! Bass has been thoroughly polished, detailed and in excellent+ condition with only a few very light scuffs. Weighs 7.0 pounds. No Case.

* I'm not a store or shop, just a retired Guy that LOVES Guitars and have worked on them as a Hobby for over 30 years. I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Bass Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Fretboard clean, Truss-Rod even functional? Are the Frets worn, oxidized, need cleaned & polished, or have dead frets that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty or dead and need a new set? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty and require a major deep-clean! Not this one!

Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine or like most, likely just say "Condition Is Used". Remember that you get what you pay for!

This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, and it plays great. But I can't predict how you like your Bass set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference may be required. And if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes can affect my set-up, that again, may require adjustments on your end. This is true of ANY Guitar shipped from an individual or online Big-Box Stores.

Please save me as a Seller as I frequently list Guitars and always have some interesting projects in the works, including "Relic" Guitars. Check my "Seller Feedback" to read comments from happy Buyers of my Guitars.
