 ancient crystals 

Inside a very beautiful and elaborate gold paper and 

silver thread decoration surrounds the holy relics 

S. THOMAE APOST.

In back a very important red wax seal 

insure the integrity of  the relic

the silky threads that seal the reliquary are intact.

The ecclesiastical coat of arms engraved in wax seal

  corresponds to the coat of arms engraved on the document

In the document there is the description of:

the relic:

“ EX SACRIS ------- S. THOMAE APOSTOLI    ."

the shrine:

   intus thecam argenteam formae ovalis crystallo a parte anteriori munitam 

the seal:

“, filo serico coloris rubri collicavimus e cera rubra hyspanica nostro parvo episcopali sigillo    "

and finally dated:

   Vercellis   die 24 Octobris    Julii    1770
