Early 1970's vintage "VW" (Volkswagen) soft-Napa leather wallet / organizer

- Material: soft-Napa leather
- Color: black
- Compartments: 1 with flip-over cover on upper half, 5x open slots (3 full-width, 2 half-width). Compartments are lined.
- Size (closed): 170 cm x 118 cm (almost 7" wide x 4.5" tall)
- Outer box: states a part # 93-9524-7 and "Soft-Napa schwarz [black]"
- Logo: VW logo is impressed in the leather underneath the flap at the top
- Era: Around 1970 - 1975
- Condition: Brand new in original box (no signs of any use). Taken out of box only to take photos of the wallet.
This is a fairly "large" leather wallet / organizer and not really designed to be a wallet for your pants pockets (unless you're wearing "painter pants" with large side-pockets...). It would fit into a car glove box, jackets with large pockets, fanny packs or purses.
Note: my parents bought this back when we owned a 1971 VW Type 3 Variant (which was bought directly in 1971 in Switzerland for use there and shipped to the USA later in 1971). Whether they bought this from a Swiss dealer or in Mid-Michigan in the early 1970's, I do not know; it was tucked away with some other items that were never used since they were bought.
--> Thus: about 50 years old, and brand-new! Leather feels totally soft and supple! It was stored in the original box in a cabinet in a climate-controlled house (non-smoker).
