On offer for your consideration we have a German Jugendstil* pendant (5 cm long) on chain (45 cm) in silver with a large center oval mother of pearls, two round lapis lazuli cabochons and three seed pearls.

This stunning pendant was designed in Munich Germany in 1906 by Karl Johan Bauer who worked from 1905-1912. He was an important designer in the period of the Munich School 1895-1920. The Munich designers were the masters of Jugendstil.

This rare and beautiful Jugendstil pendant would make a wonderful addition to any collection of good jewelry.

* - Jugendstil, artistic style that arose in Germany about the mid-1890s and continued through the first decade of the 20th century, deriving its name from the Munich magazine Die Jugend (“Youth”), which featured Art Nouveau designs.
