1858 Seated Liberty Half Dollar NGC PR-65 CAM

From the first year proof coinage was sold in sets to the general public. Approximately 300 minted. Mint records show 210 sets sold and an additional number of coins were probably sold individually. PCGS estimates that 80 to 100 have survived in all grades. Very scarce with a Cameo designation with just 8 such occurrences at NGC and PCGS combined. This is a beautiful and deeply mirrored example with clean icy fields and strong frost on the design. The surfaces are exceptionally clean and the eye appeal is outstanding.
