Chamber sticks were designed to be carried and have a flat, circular base to catch any dripping wax, keeping it from falling onto the floor or coming into contact with clothing. The handle features a thumb piece making it easier to carry the chamber stick and attached to the handle is a removable snuffer to extinguish the candle.

This piece is made from Silver over Copper and stands 11cm tall. the diameter of the base is 14cm and the width including the handle is 17cm. It requires a candle with a diameter of approximately 14mm. 

Believed to be Victorian, the weight of the piece is 404.5g and the overall condition is good, displaying general wear commensurate with age.
