This is a great example of a India Hyderabad State Stamp, SG 2a Variety, the 1/2 Anna Brown Orange with a Type 1 Overprint in black that is facing upward.  It appears to be unused and is in Fine/Very Fine Condition.  A pretty neat little stamp.  See the footnote in the Stanley Gibbons Catalogue For More Information.
