Vintage Brass Bowl with Lid / Footed, Temple Bowl, Indian Brass

Made in India

Vintage- 1970's - 1980's

Details: Exquisite details on this footed brass bowl, looks like the bowls used in Indian / Buddhist temples. Starting with the gorgeous lid, it has lines emanating from the top and moving down to the middle of the lid where they meet with carved leaves that go all around the lid, there's also more design on the edge of the lid. The bowl also has lines and leaves all around. The handles and the feet have lots of detail, lots of scrolls and shells, excellent craftsmanship and seem a bit heavier than the rest of the bowl. The bottom still has its original label that reads: "Made in India". Would look lovely as decor, or to corral small items, with potpourri, or could be used to serve food if you found a glass bowl insert to fit inside it. Really a unique and lovely piece, excellent condition.
