DESCRIPTION

A collection of eight first editions, published as part of 'The Crime Club' series by Collins, which ran from 1930 until 1994. 

Each novel is uniformly bound in the publisher's original red cloth, with the original vivid dust wrappers, five of which remain unclipped.

'Some Die Eloquent' is signed by the author to the title page.

This collection is comprised of the following:

'No Sign of Life' (1978), written by Michael Delving.

'Counterstroke' (1978), written by Andrew Garve, with a 'Crime Club Special' accolade sticker to the front of the wrap.

'Posthumous Papers' (1979) by Robert Barnard.

'On the Edge' (1979) by Roy Doliner.

'Some Die Eloquent' (1979), by Catherine Aird, signed by the author.

'Sea-Change' (1982), by Philip Loraine.

'Copper, Gold & Treasure' (1982), A Mark Treasure Novel, written by David Williams.

'A Murder Too Many' (1988), by Elizabeth Ferrars.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original red cloth binding, with the original dust wrappers. Externally, lovely, with light shelf wear only. Dust wrapper's to 'Posthumous Papers', 'Some Die Eloquent', 'A Murder Too Many', 'On the Edge', 'Sea-Change' and 'Counterstroke' are excellent, with light edge wear and the odd mark. The occasional chip or closed tear to 'No Sign of Life' and 'Copper, Gold & Treasure', with slightly more wear and marking. 'On the Edge', 'Sea-Change' and 'Counterstroke' have been price-clipped. Crime Club sticker to the front of 'Counterstroke' wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot to the fore edge or endpapers.
