This is a Dutch East Indies 1851 Pre Stamp Merchant Letter.  It was sent from Samarang to Poerwonedjo.

The thing to note with this one is the GREEN OVAL SAMARANG ONGEFRANKEERD Marking, #273a.  It's quite a pretty one, actually.

Take care because this item, though in very good shape, is still extremely old!
